When I arrived to the hotel to meet his publicist and conduct the interview, he stood up, shook my hand, and smiled warmly. There was no pretense about him or his mannerisms. He was far from a "prima donna," and seemed interested to answer any question I had. Nothing was off limits...

COSBY: Have you set a wedding date?

DAMON: No, not yet, not yet. Well, we—you know, sometime next year we‘re going to figure it out. When I stop working, we're going to take a break, and we‘ll come up with air and figure out what we're going to do.

Matt Damon's fiancee is pregnant

First Ben. Now Matt.

Matt Damon and fianceé Luciana Barroso are expecting their first child together, Access Hollywood has learned. Luciana is three months pregnant.

Matt popped the question just before Labor Day to Luciana, who he had been dating for more than one year. The couple has yet to set a date for the wedding.

Matt and Luciana met at the Miami nightclub Crobar where Barroso worked as a bartender. Once married, Matt will also become stepdad to Luciana's 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Matt is currently shooting his new film "The Good Shepherd" in New York. Shooting is set to be finished in January.

Damon’s new role: Dad?

Not to be outdone by his best Boston bud Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and his fiancee, Luciana Barroso, reportedly are expecting their own little Red Sox fan this summer.

Matt’s future bride, who has been sporting engagement bling since just before Labor Day, is three months pregnant, according to “Access Hollywood.” Luciana has a 7-year-old daughter, Alexa, from a previous relationship.

Damon’s rep, Jennifer Allen, told the Track last night that the "Syriana" star was on the set of "The Good Shepherd" in the Apple all day so she had "no knowledge of whether it is true or not."

"Access Hollywood decided to go with the story because they believe their source is reliable — at their own risk," she added.

Be that as it may, Damon told the Herald’s Stephen Schaefer just last week that he enjoyed his first on-screen daddy role in "Syriana" because "fatherhood is definitely appealing."

"I’ve longed for it in real life anyway," he said, adding that he needs to brush up on being a disciplinarian.

"I’m very good at winding up the kids, I’m just not good at chilling them out," he said. "I think I spoil them. I think I like to play whatever games they like to play. I spoil them with attention, not stuff so much," Damon added. "We’re pretty good about that 'cause I don’t think that helps if you give a kid every kind of material thing that he wants."

And to think this parenting genius dropped out of Harvard!

Matt met Luciana, who grew up in California, in Crobar, a trendy Miami nightclub where Luci was tending bar. The Oscar-winning "Good Will Hunting" star was in South Beach filming the Farrelly Brothers comedy "Stuck On You" and they’ve been dating ever since.

Last spring, the couple bought a house in Florida which cemented the relationship.

"It was a foregone conclusion," Damon told Schaefer. "I never wanted to let anybody know. The engagement isn’t, like, anything new. We know we’re together."

No wedding date has been set, but Damon said it will be a private affair.

OCR: I'm curious how this role came about. You're friends with George Clooney, whose company is producing the film. Does he mention it to you during a chat, or does the offer go through official channels?
DAMON: It can happen the first way, but in this case, it went through official channels. It was surprisingly official given the extent of our friendship, but they (Clooney and producing partner Soderbergh) are always diligent about contacting your agent first.

OCR: So there was no discussion at all?
DAMON: Well, I had read the script before "Oceans 12," and I pulled George aside during filming and said, "What's the deal with this?" It was an informal meeting, and then Steven stopped by, and they sort of convinced me to do it. I think they had talked to Gaghan and vouched for me.

OCR: Doesn't sound very official to me.
DAMON (laughs): They eventually called my agent and made an official offer.

OCR: Why are you working so much?
DAMON: These are things I can't say no to. It's as simple as that.

OCR: Oh, I understand why you're working with them. I don't understand why they want to work with you?
DAMON (laughs): Damn, I don't know.

OCR: Speaking of your career, when did reality surpass the dream?
DAMON: There have been a lot of moments when it felt like I had exceeded all my expectations. It's hard to pinpoint just one moment. This has all been way beyond anything I could have hoped. But I suppose if I had to name just one moment, it would have to be the time I got to take batting practice at Fenway Park.

OCR: What was the original dream?
DAMON: Working in movies consistently. Just having a job.

OCR: Did you believe it was possible to achieve that dream?
DAMON: I did. I always felt like it had to work out because there was no alternative. I know it makes no sense, but I felt compelled to do this.

OCR: I hear you've gotten engaged. What happened?
DAMON: You know, they talk about a woman's biological clock, but I think I had the same thing. This was something I wanted. I'm ready. It feels right.

OCR: And I understand that you've given up smoking, too. What else have you given up?
DAMON: Man, I have nothing left to give up, except beer. And I'll never give up beer.

Blockbusters US : Ultimatum 2006 !

L'année 2006 sera très intense à Hollywood en ce qui concerne les tournages de grosses productions avec "The Bourne Ultimatum", "Spider-man 3", "Indiana Jones 4" et "Jurassic Park 4" !

Trilogies, tétralogies... Hollywood a tout ce qu'il vous faut ! 2006 sera l'année des tournages de grosses productions, en partie grâce à l'initiative du producteur-réalisateur Frank Marshall. Celui-ci a d'abord annoncé que le tournage de The Bourne ultimatum, nouveau volet des aventures de Jason Bourne, alias Matt Damon, débutera le 1er août. Il a ensuite ajouté que les premiers coups de manivelles du très attendu Indiana Jones 4 de Steven Spielberg, toujours avec Harrison Ford dans le rôle de l'aventurier, suivrait juste derrière, suivi du tournage de Jurassic Park 4.

Les deux complices de longue date Matt Damon et Ben Affleck pourraient tenir les rôles principaux du remake de Butch Cassidy et le Kid, classique du western réalisé par George Roy Hill en 1969. Matt Damon reprendrait le rôle du Sundance Kid tenu à l'origine par Robert Redford, alors que Ben Affleck incarnerait Butch Cassidy, joué par Paul Newman dans le film initial. Aucun metteur en scène n'est encore annoncé pour orchestrer les forfaits de ce duo de pilleurs de banque. Matt Damon et Ben Affleck, amis de longue date, avaient remporté l'Oscar du meilleur scénario en 1997 pour Will Hunting, dont il partageaient également la vedette.
